NBA FINALS 2019

This is history in the making. Our own Canadian team the Toronto Raptors went toe to toe with the No. 1 team in the league, The Milwaukee Bucks in the Eastern Conference Finals. Our Raptors were down 2-0 to turning things around and winning the series 4-2. It wasn’t an easy task but them Raptors played their hearts out and laid it all on the court and mentally and physically dismantled the Bucks in a very convincing fashion. The Raptors’ resilience on offence and defence was next to none and for that, Toronto became the first Canadian team to reach NBA Finals. These Raptors have a complete squad who are geared up to do battle against the best of the best. The addition of Kawhi Leonard has improved this team dramatically and definitely gave them a different swag that is clearly paying off.

The Raptors have passed every test on the Eastern side but the biggest and final test of them all awaits them in the form of the Western Conference three-time Defending Champions Golden State Warriors. The Warriors aren’t at full strength coming into the NBA Finals but they still own the rights to the Throne until proven otherwise. That being said, the Warriors are once again chasing history. Being able to three-peat is a rare feat and if they were to accomplish that, their legacy would speak volumes.

In the public’s eyes, the Warriors are now viewed as the more vulnerable team since the Raptors’ momentum is on a high. This will be the Warriors fifth trip to the Finals in the last five seasons to the Raptors first time under the brightest lights and the biggest stage of their existence. The pressure will be high for both teams but I can’t front, the familiar grounds and the experience that the Warriors carry make it real hard to go against the Defending Champs. If the Raptors want to continue writing their names in the history books, they will have to take the Crown from the Warriors.

So, tune in Thursday night, May 30, 2019 for Game 1 in Toronto at the Scotiabank Arena, which will become the first city outside of the United States to entertain an NBA Finals game.

2018 NBA FINALS

The number 2 and the number 4 seed representing their respective coast are set to do battle this Thursday night May 31, 2018.

For the fourth consecutive year, the Reigning Defending Champions Golden State Warriors will once again go head to head against the Cleveland Cavaliers in another dual of the NBA Finals. Both teams needed a game 7 this time around to reach the NBA Finals. King James and his newly revamped squad will be looking for some payback for failing to beat the Warriors last year but this year “Hampton’s 5” (hopefully with a healthy Andre Iguodala) seemed to be clicking at the right time.

Real Talk, I can’t front at the Cavaliers plays to date, LeBron’s got them Boys thinking they’re the sh*t! The squad that he’s rocking with is a challenge within itself. Aside from that Bron Bron has been playing out of his mind to bring this team to the Finals.

That being said the Warriors are chasing history with their own squad too. It’s been a bumpy road compared to their previous Championship run but truth be told them Boys look ready and loaded for the challenge ahead. Them Boys came from being down 3-2 to the Houston Rockets to secure their spot to the NBA Finals.

Injuries played a part on both teams throughout the regular season but still here they are again adding their mark to the history of the NBA Finals in being the only two teams to meet in the Finals four straight times in a row, something like an ever-ending rivalry.

The Warriors are slated as heavy favorites to repeat as the 2018 NBA Champions against the Cleveland Cavaliers but actions speak louder than words, so tune in Thursday night May 31, 2018 and see which team will prevail and get it popping under the bright lights of the NBA Finals.

On The Watch “It’s All About NBA FINALS 2016”

The 2016 NBA Finals are now set. We have been gifted a repeat of last year’s 2015 NBA Finals. History is still in the making in the form of a Historical NBA Season in The Golden State Warriors. WESTSIDES’s No. 1 Seed came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat a hungry opponent in Oklahoma City Thunders.

Golden State now becomes only the 10th team in NBA History to complete this unbelievable comeback. REAL TALK! Determined to disrupt History and carve their own are The EASTSIDE’s No. 1 Seed in The Cleveland Cavaliers. This go around “King James” is coming into this Battle with a healthy squad and his latest version of The Big 3 with Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love.

The Cavs are looking good and clicking at the right time. Last year’s Finals have been hunting them throughout the entire Season and the only way to undo the wrong is by bringing the city of Cleveland its first Championship since 1964.

Both Teams have now been heavily tested; Judgment day is on the horizon. History is knocking at both their doors, the question remains, which deserving Team will be cementing their mark while raising the elusive O’Bryan Trophy for the year 2016 NBA Finals.

Don’t miss the action and Tune in for Game 1, Thursday night June 2, 2016.
