The NBA-Who’s On Top?

We are officially well passed the midpoint mark for the season with 57 plus Games played to date and lo and behold we have a new contender in the Milwaukee Bucks (43-14) holding down the No.1 Spot by a very small margin over our own Canadian team the Toronto Raptors (43-16). Giannis and The Bucks have been looking like legit contenders as of late. Real Talk! The Bucks as a Team are looking to secure their bid for the NBA Finals by balling hard every night with their MVP candidate Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the way with his do it all, no holds barred playmaking. Giannis is balling on another level right now and the Bucks are definitely benefiting from it. That being said, the Raptors still have a very good chance of claiming the No. 1 Spot in the Eastern Conference as do the Indiana Pacers (38-20), the Boston Celtics (37-21) and Philadelphia 76ers (37-21). They are all battling to secure a better seeding come Playoff time.

Holding down the Western Conference once again is the Defending Champs Golden State Warriors (41-16) but, surprisingly, behind them is the standout play of the Denver Nuggets (39-18). The Nuggets are the wild card in the Western Conference that can undeniably disrupt the seedings and possibly take the No.1 Spot if the Warriors are caught slipping. Real Talk! That being said, the Western Conference is still a tight and competitive race with Oklahoma City Thunder (37-20) balling hard while holding on to the third spot but could perhaps shuffle up or down with the Portland Trail Blazers (34-23) and the Houston Rockets (33-24) breathing down each other’s necks. The Los Angeles Lakers (28-29) have fallen off as of late but do have “King James” on the squad that could still flip a switch and turn things around and get back into contention.

The landscape is changing fast for both conferences and making it that much more interesting. Keep tuned in to see the final stretch to the NBA’s version of the “sweet 16” aka the Playoffs?

The NBA Who’s on Top?

We are at the Quarter mark of this year’s NBA Season and sitting at the top above all for the moment is our own Canadian team The Toronto Raptors with a 18-4 record. I didn’t anticipate this great start from the Raptors considering the dramatic changes that were made over the summer but “DAMN”, the addition of Kawhi Leonard has them Boyz swagged up in a different way. Real Talk. It’s still early in the season but as of right now this team is looking on point on offence and defence. The Milwaukee Bucks are surprisingly tearing it up with some much-improve play cause them Boys have been “Ballin outrageous” with a respectable 15-6 record to date. The hunger and the talent are there now it’s just about keeping a steady healthy momentum throughout the season and these Boyz can certainly be a threat to any team. The Philadelphia 76ers have had an up and down start but managed a 15-8 record to date. With the latest addition of Jimmy Butler to the squad the 76ers will now have a solid set of 3 all-stars in Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Expectation will be high for them three to gel quickly and turn things around. Peeps keep talking about the Eastern Conference being weak but Real Talk, the Division is still competitive. The Pacers’ 13-8 record, The Pistons’ 11-7 record and The Hornets’ 11-10 record are all keeping it real interesting. Now what I’m most surprised by is the play of The Boston Celtics with their record of 11-10. Unbelievable! Now I know it’s still early in the Season, but them Boyz need to get it together asap and start ballin. There’s way too much talent on that team to be sitting at the borderline like that. Real Talk!

The heated Western Conference is an early roller coaster ride with some teams playing musical chairs in the standings so far. Still premature into the Season, The Los Angeles Clippers are surprisingly holding on to the No. 1 Spot with a 14-6 record. These Boyz are ballin with a chip on their shoulders trying to prove the naysayers not to take them lightly with their revamped roster. The Defending Champs Golden State Warriors have taken an early set back with Steph Curry and Dramond Green who’ve been out of the line up for a few games. They’ve been able to sustain themselves for now with a 15-7 record, but truth be told they need Curry and Green back asap if they want another crack at the gold again. I know Its still early into the season, but the West is too strong of a Division to be hobbling around. The Denver Nuggets have dramatically improved on both side of the court and are breathing down all opponents’ necks with their record of 14-7 to date. They have a good thing going on over there and only time will tell if they’re for real with it. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s 13-7 record, Portland Trail Blazers’ 13-8 record, Memphis Grizzlies’ 12-8 record and The Los Angeles Lakers’ 11-9 record, are all bubbling teams that can intertwine and change position amongst the standings at any given time. That’s how tight this Division is. Surprisingly, The Houston Rockets are on the outside looking in with their disappointing start of 9-11 record. They were hit early with games missed by James Harden and Chris Paul as of late. I’m not counting these Boyz out just yet, but they absolutely need to get it together and play catch up Basketball sooner rather then later. The Western Conference is an endless race that can leave you behind in no time, good or bad.

The NBA-Who’s On Top?

We are officially well passed the midpoint mark for the season with 57 plus Games played and to everybody’s surprise the Houston Rockets (44-13) is the team holding on to that No. 1 Spot by a very small margin over the Defending Champs Golden State Warriors (44-14). Holding on to that No. 1 Spot in the league won’t be easy with the Warriors breathing down their necks but home court advantage come Playoff time would definitely be a plus for them if they could pull it off. As expected the Western Conference has remained quite competitive with the Spurs, Timberwolves, and Thunder, playing musical chairs with each other trying to position themselves just right for a playoff spot making it very interesting.

Holding down the No. 1 Spot on the Eastern Conference side is our very own Canadian Team the Toronto Raptors (41-16). Them Boys snuck up quietly behind the Boston Celtics (40-19) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (34-22) to snatch that No. 1 Spot. Toronto’s steady play as of late has proven to be a problem for a lot of the teams in the East. Real Talk! Peeps keep on talking down about how weak the Eastern Conference is but truth be told the Eastern Conference is actually getting better and better and definitely more competitive; just watch the play of the Wizards, Pacers, Bucks, 76ers, Heat and the Pistons as of late? Its do or die amongst them Teams vying for a Playoff spot.

Injuries to various teams and last minute trades have once again altered the league, making the second half of the season just that much more interesting. So keep tuning in to see who will make the Final Cut!!

The NBA-Who’s On Top?

We are at the Quarter mark for this year NBA Season and in a surprising fashion The Boston Celtics are the ones sitting at the top for the moment with a 20-4 record. Now considering losing Gordon Haywood to a frightening fracture of his left knee, I personally thought this season was going to be a wrap but Damn was I wrong cause them kats over there are balling out of their minds. Cleveland has regrouped as of late and has gotten back on track by winning 11 games in row to bring them back up to a respective 16-7 record. It’s still very early in the season but I’m enjoying how the rest of the Eastern Conference is actually competing right now. Teams are definitely battling it out with no clear cut easy marks.

Although the Golden State Warriors are the Defending Champs and still the team to beat, the number one spot in the West at the moment belongs to the Houston Rockets with a 17-4 record over the Golden State’s 17-6 record. It’s a very close margin that Houston is hoping to maintain for as long as possible but real talk Warriors have yet to turn on the “Heat” and when they do the Western Conference might be in for a hell of a treat. Houston is balling and Harden is playing at another MVP type year once again. They are definitely looking like a team that could give the Warriors some problems along with the steady play of the Spurs 15-7 record as usual but only time will tell cause there are still lots of ball games to be played.
Injuries to various teams have hit the Western Conference in a big way, slightly changing the landscape over there. Definitely making things interesting so stay tuned in to all the action going around.

The NBA-Who’s On Top?

We are officially over passed the midpoint mark for the season with 52 Games played and just like last year The Golden State Warriors are still Blazin through the league with the No. 1 Spot and still showing improvement from Game to Game. The San Antonio Spurs are still strong and steady chasing down the Warriors while keeping the rest of the league on notice that they are not done yet.

Oklahoma City has regained their winning ways and seems to be back on track, as for the rest of the Western teams gunning for a playoff spot from 5 to 8 is a toss up right now cause every remaining Game is a must win situation for them. REAL TALK!

It’s been a while since we last witness 8 Eastern Conference Teams already sporting the 500 PCT mark at this point in the season. REAL TALK! The Eastern Conference Teams have all stepped up their competitive play and leading the pack once again is The Cleveland Cavaliers with our team from Up North The Toronto Raptors not far behind but the surprising play of The Boston Celtics and the remaining Eastern playoffs Teams is definitely something to be optimistic about.

Injuries to various teams have once again thrown a wrench to league play but the second half of the season is still as intriguing as ever so KEEP TUNING IN to so see who will make the final CUT! REAL TALK!

The NBA-Who’s On Top?

We are at the Quarter mark for this year NBA Season and The Defending NBA Champs The Golden State Warriors haven’t lost a step since last years NBA Finals. REAL TALK! The Defending Champs are well above their competitors with a comfortable record of 23-0 and showing no sign of relinquishing their No. 1 Spot any time soon. With the steady amazing play of Reigning MVP Stephen Curry and a tight knit crew of teammates, knocking the Warriors off their tracks right now doesn’t seem likely anytime soon. The only other team in The West making any type of noise right now are The San Antonio Spurs with their record of 18-4.

Peeps shouldn’t be surprise by this Team cause they stay consistent with their play year after year.
As expected in The East The Cleveland Cavaliers are owners of the No. 1 Spot with a record of 14-7 but the question remains for how long since the surprising rise in play of The Miami Heat 12-7, and the steady play of The Chicago Bulls, and The Indiana Pacers heavily breathing down the Cavs necks. I’m sure by the mid point of The Season the rotation over in The EAST will definitely be different. REAL TALK! East Coast Ball is steadily improving making things very interesting on any given night. The NBA—Who’s On Top?

We are officially passed the midpoint mark for the season with over 42 games played and at everyone’s surprise The EAST is experiencing a serious power struggle with some new and exiting faces running the show in a convincing manner. REAL TALK!

As I write this, the No. 1 spot belongs to The Atlanta Hawks (38-8). A team that no one anticipated to be good enough to run the show has been defying all odds and stating claim to that No 1 spot by bringing it each and every night to any team EAST/WEST who wants to tangle with them.

Not far behind we got our Team from up North The Toronto Raptors and the Washington Wizards who are still vying for that No. 1 Spot. Now who would have thought that these three teams would have been caught up in this scenario at this point in the season?

Now when it comes to the WESTSIDE. The shootout is still on and poppin over there. REAL TALK! I have to tip my “B” hat to them Boyz in Golden State for their play so far. They have kept that No. 1 Spot from the “JUMP”. And not just in the West but in the League PERIOD! (Percent wise) They are really trying to show all the naysayers that this (36-7) Team Record that they are running with in the WEST is as real as it gets.

Now I’ve said this before, in the West you can’t count any of the 8 seeded teams vying for a playoff spot out cause any one of them teams can catch a good steady run and snatch that No. 1 Spot at anytime. Injuries have stunted quite a few teams early but the second half of the season is where you either keep up to move up or bow down and step out the way. REAL TALK!

Keep Tuning in to see and appreciate the outcome of this season’s second half.

The NBA-Who’s On Top?

With only a quarter of the regular season down, one can’t front on the surprising rise of our own Canadian Team, The Toronto Raptors. (including me) This team from Up North is still flying high off last years NBA Season and leading the EAST right out the gate with a record of 16-6.

Good enough for the No. 1 seed in the EAST for now. The Eastern Conference has a whole is already doing better than last year around this time of the year. As I’m writing this, five Teams are already sitting above the 500 PCT mark. Now that’s definitely an improvement worth feeling positive about. REAL TALK!

With that being said the WESTSIDE still has a convincing hold over which side has the strongest coast. Leading the Western Conference this time around is the hot shooting Golden State Warriors with a league leading record of 19-2.

Holding on to that No. 1 seed will not be a cakewalk considering the Western Conference The Eastern Conferencealready has 10 Teams above 500 PCT. The Challenge presents itself to both Teams representing their respective coast to see if The Toronto Raptors or The Golden State Warriors is truly contender worthy. Only time will tell cause we still have lots of Ball to be played. Keep tuning In!!
